Kim Richardson CEO and founder of ACADEMIC ATHLETE is a youth and teenage developmental coach with over 20 years of experience mentoring the student athlete. He has worked tirelessly to help student athletes receive academic and athletic scholarships which improved their opportunities to grow, develop and succeed. Kim has always been committed to the overall development and success of young scholars which ultimately lead to his discovery of an issue deeply rooted in the academic and athletic recruiting process.  This common and consistent issue lead him to build and launch the scouting and recruiting firm called ACADEMIC ATHLETE. Through many years of Scouting, Recruiting and Coaching  he discovered that the  best athletes were failing to meet Core GPA requirements and/or participate in the sports they loved. He further discovered that in some cases the most intelligent students and talented athletes were not socially prepared to attend an institution of higher learning after high-school.  While there were a number of reasons these issues existed, Kim knew that something needed to be done to equip, empower and guide the  student athlete.
